We were asked to review Bing (something for Daddy)  By Ted Dewan, As it is being relaunched before it is due to appear on our TV screens for the little ones sometime later in the year.  Tilly was most excited when it arrived in the post. The book itself arrived within a few days of us agreeing to do the review and, when i finally got tilly to sit down and read it one rainy afternoon she actually enjoyed reading it. The fact that some of the words are repetitive makes them easier for the little ones to recognise and learn, meaning they can really join in the book.

We liked the colourful pictures and the big bold writing, This is aimed at pre-school children and she was just the right age for it. I liked the way that the words are in bold so it emphasises the use of words. Tilly got right in to the story and was shocked when they had an accident with the 'goo', she gasped and felt sorry for bing. This showed me how much she was drawn into the story. It caught her imagination and that is a good thing with her.

I liked the way it encouraged little ones to make things out of scraps. i am all for recycling and it teaches them to make something out of nothing. There was also loads of shapes and colours for her to look at, so not only was this a story book but it lead to discussions about the other things she was noticing within the story too. We had to spend this morning making things with 'goo'
