New York City, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2014

Vanaia LLC, a New York-based mobile app developer, launched their first ScanWritr mobile app at the beginning of the year. Today a significantly improved version of the app is reaching out to all modern women with a brand new tribute video.

“Women, who manage to raise their children, run a household, work full time and still find the time for their partners and friends, are without a doubt real-life superheroes that do not get enough credit,” said Vanaia’s representative Jan Kreuzer. “Spreading awareness with a feel-good video that shows how great an average day could be, is our way of saying thank you.”
The main star of the video is a model and former Miss Universe Slovenia, Natasa Pinoza. As she said after the filming: »It was not hard to identify with this role, since my daily schedule is as packed and diverse as Ashley's. « Pinoza also touched on the role of a woman in real life, saying: “It’s true that women are increasingly more appreciated, but there is still a long way to go.”

It is a fact that an average woman in the 21st century works more than she ever did. According to US Department of Labor 47 percent of workforce in 2010 comprised of women. A striking 74 percent of moms worked full time in 2013, while they on average still spent six hours per week more on housework and three hours per week more on childcare than men.

To be fair, another study by Pew Research Center has found that an average man still spends more time at paid work than an average woman and that the gap between male and female domestic work has never been smaller.

Yet, the trend of increasing equality between the sexes has failed to make women any happier. As the 2009 paper by National Bureau of Economic Research suggests, the trend actually goes the other way. “/…/ Measures of subjective well-being indicate that women’s happiness has declined both absolutely and relative to men.” The researchers named this phenomenon ‘The Paradox of Declining Female Happiness’.

Perhaps the reason lies in the fact that women nowadays have less time to focus on the few aspects of their lives that really matter. As Harvard happiness expert Daniel gilbert explains: “We are happy when we have family, we are happy when we have friends and almost all the other things we think make us happy are actually just ways of getting more family and friends.”

“Happiness is what it all comes down to. If this video puts a smile on women’s faces, we are one step closer to our goal,” said the author of the clip, Jan Kreuzer, and concluded: "We are after all not in the business of making productivity mobile apps, but rather in the business of making people happy.
