A-Z Of Summer - L is for London

London is an  amazing place to take kids to learn about things, you dont even need to take money with you. If you live local then its so easy to just buy a tube ticket zone 1-6 and you can have a whole day going round
and seeing some of the sights for free. We often go to the museums like Science Museum or Natural History but one of Tillys favourite places is Southbank in London, she walks along the bank and watches the performers but you also have the London Eye, The Aquarium and The London Dungeons to entertain yourself, untill recently we had Merlin Passes and used these attractions all the time, and meaning that we got in for free, we then had money to buy photos or spend in the shop.

You can take a Bus tour with Big Bus London and see the sights, seeing London by bus is the best way and if you choose the Red route you will get a live commentator and we had a comical and very knowledgeable guide called Phil. You can buy tickets Here. Once you buy your ticket, you get to go on as many of the tours you like and there are free walking tours and a free river cruise too.

Leicester square, piccadilly is a fab place to go for free too, its great to take kids to see the old theatre in the area and you have the lights and statues. Then just a short walk is Covent Garden, you can see some street entertainers there too and they have the little market and boutiques to look through.
