Christmas Always Starts At The Ideal Home Show at Christmas

There is no better way to kick off the holiday season with a visit to The Ideal Home Show at Christmas. The event this year is taking place from now until the 23rd November at the iconic Earls Court in London.

The famous venue has been magically transformed into an amazing winter wonderland for you and your family to enjoy. With over 650 exhibitors across 7 sections of the hall, you will find everything you need from Christmas gifts and decorations to food and drink for the Christmas season.
This is the last year that the Ideal Home Show at Christmas will be hosted at Earls Court as its due for development from 2015, so next year we will see the event return to its original venue of Olympia.

The show features a host of festive favourite celebrities including Gino D'campo, Lisa Faulkner, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen, Suzi Perry and Olly Smith. They are at the show to offer us their festive tips and hints to make our Christmas day go perfectly.

You will be able to go to the Christmas theatre to see the experts at work, there is hourly sessions showing you how to make the perfect table setting, festive wreaths, Christmas cards and many more. This is sure to give you some different ideas to impress your friends and family at this festive time of the year.
The Christmas food and drink theatre is once again sponsored by Regina, and this is where you will pick up the ideas for your Christmas meal and festive delights. There are live cooking demonstrations, all shown on a big screen too in case you can't get close enough to see it. You will find top celebrity chefs here as well as drink experts, to make sure Your culinary creations and Christmas tipple make it a Christmas to remember.
There is of course the iconic ice skating rink, this is the centre piece of the show, so for £5 an adult and only £3.50 for a child, you can get on the ice and show off your moves. For the little ones there are penguins to help them on their way. Around the ice rink you will find a band stand with live music. have a giant snow globe that you climb into, it's an inflatable and when your in there, there is a machine that releases loads of snowflakes giving the effect of a real snow globe. They then take your picture and pop it into a keyring for you. This is free and the guys there are lovely. There is also a giant Christmas card and you can have your photo taken in it for a lovely Christmas scene. Tilly hijacked Santa's photo and took the opportunity to check he had received her email. He of course had.
We had a great day at the Ideal Home at Christmas show, and we would recommend it for you to go to. The tickets are available here and if you buy them in advance you can buy them as cheap as £12 for a weekday and £14 for a weekend day. Kids aged 15 and under are free. Earls Court is easy to get to by tube, it on the district line and as soon as you get off the train, head to the Earls Court and it takes you right out the front of the show. All that's left is for you guys to have a great day.
