Plan A Day Out With Big Bus London, Shreks Adventure And Planet Hollywood.

Little Miss T loves going to London, she would live there given half the chance! So when ever I mention going to London, The one thing she always wants to do is a bus tour. There is no other better way to see London than on a bus ride, you get to take the sights in as you go by.

Our favourite bus tour company is Big Bus London, Not only do we love the live tour guides and their funny sense of humour but we absolutely love the frequency of the buses! Next time you're in London look at the bus tour buses and you will notice more Big Bus London buses than any other company, They have 75 buses in their fleet!. Another reason we love to use Big Bus London is that when we travel into london, we take the train to St Pancras and there is a bus stop there for the Big Bus to stop at. This makes it so much easier for people to access the buses when they arrive at Kings Cross/St Pancras as well as Euston. So we simply jump on the bus and it saves us buying a tube ticket into central London.

Tickets are available from a ticket seller at the bus stop and then you simply hop onto the open top bus, this takes you to Covent Garden where you join one of the other routes. There are over 50 locations that you can hop on and hop off, and they are all near to an attraction for your convenience to visit. For Madame Tussuads, you would get off at Stop 5 on the blue line, Tower Bridge you would get off at Stop 19 on both the blue and red lines and Westminster Abbey its Stop 24 on both the blue and red lines. One of our favourite places in London is Southbank, where we get off at stop14 on both the blue and red lines. Then we can go to London Eye, The London Aquarium and Shreks Adventure.

We recently visited Shreks Adventure and for the cost of a ticket, you get drawn into an adventure in Far Far Away land whilst looking for Shrek. Dreamworks animation comes to life as you walk around this attraction along with help from the characters along the way and a ride on the magical 4D bus ride, with Donkey driving you. Tickets cost £26 on the door for adults and £20.80 for children, but if you buy them from BigbusLondon you can save 10%. It is so much easier to buy online before you arrive at an attraction as you have less queuing, making it easier for families. Along your adventure, you will meet so many different characters and although many are familiar to the Shrek movies, there are also a few scary witches, so the ideal age for the attraction is 6+, but younger children can also join in the fun if they are feeling brave.

Once we had finished, we just went back to the bus stop to join a tour again. Heading to bus stop number 9, where we popped into Planet Hollywood for something to eat and drink. You get a real Hollywood feeling as your surrounded by movie memorabilia like Gremlins and Boots from the 'Rocky' movies. Planet Hollywood is easy to find at 57-60 Haymarket in London and is open until 1AM Monday to Saturday. The menu offers food such as sandwiches and Italian meals as well as a huge variety of burgers or ribs.

From the moment you walk through the door your made to feel welcome and We had the most amazing time at Planet Hollywood, so if you go for a visit, make sure you tag in on Facebook and tweet them with your pictures. As you leave, don't forget to pop into the Planet Hollywood shop and grab yourself a souvenir to take home. They sell things like hoodies, t-shirts and glasses. We have visited Planet Hollywood before with little Miss T, and you can find the experience here

All of this can be done in a day and after you have had something to eat, you can hop back on the bus and make your way back to get your station connection bus.

Your bus ticket lasts for 24 hours but if you go for a 48-hour ticket, it now includes a night bus tour and if you buy your tickets online, you get a discount price too, so a chance to save more money on your day out. All this can be done in a day, but if you wish to choose a different attraction to combine your ticket with then there is a wide range of destinations to visit.

We were offered this trip in exchange for a frank and honest opinion and even though it rained whilst we were on the open top bus, it couldn't dampen our day out! we had a lovely time and managed to see loads of different places, something you cant do if you use the tube. We recommend you do this day out too.
