Easter Afternoon Tea At Dreamland Margate, A Treat For Easter Sunday

Did you forget to buy Easter eggs? Do you feel like you want to do something special at last minute and don't know where to go? Why not book Easter Afternoon Tea at Dreamland

Today we were lucky to be invited for afternoon Tea in the beautifully restored 1920s Ballroom, It was the perfect place to enjoy the delicious array of scones, cakes and finger sandwiches available for as little as £9.95* per person.

Afternoon tea always makes a day out special and this afternoon tea is accompanied with either a glass of Prosecco or bucks fizz for the grown ups and an orange juice for the children.

There are sittings available for Easter Sunday at 12pm and 3pm, just to add a little bit of luxury on Easter Sunday and to offer a great alternative to an Easter Egg. With sandwiches made from Chicken and ham with Grain Mustard Mayonnaise on white Bread, Cheddar Cheese and Chutney on tomato Bread, Scottish Smoked Salmon with Lemon Butter and Black Pepper on Rye Bread and Egg Mayonnaise with Watercress on herb Bread, you have a huge selection of sandwiches and you also get a selection of Easter cakes and teas. On special occasions I have taken afternoon tea at Harrods in London and paid nearly £40 per person for the same kind of thing, so this is very good value.

To make the day even better value you can buy a Joint park and afternoon tea ticket
£27.90 per person, Prosecco afternoon tea and park entry
£24.90 per person, Bucks Fizz afternoon tea and park entry
£17.90 per person, Orange Juice afternoon tea and park entry (kids)

So What Did We Think?

We had a very enjoyable afternoon, We went to the Ballroom for 3pm and were seated very quickly, the tables are decorated with fitting in with the whole Dreamland retro theme and the Tea settings are all pastel, spring colours.

We were offered a glass of Prosecco as we took our seats and the children are offered a non alcoholic drink. As the afternoon tea arrives at your table, you are offered a selection of tea from a wooden tea box. This is made and bought to your table in a teapot.

The afternoon tea is served on a a cake stand with the selection of sandwiches on the bottom alongside a few cakes, and the sweet cakes are on the top. Tillys eyes almost popped out of her head, when it all arrived! it did take some convincing to get her to eat sandwiches first. The sandwiches were all a bit rich for her, as she is only 6, but the staff will make your child other sandwiches on request. Our only problem was that there was no butter for the mini tea cakes, but If we had asked for it, I am sure we would of been given some. The girls were constantly busy and attentive to everyone in the ballroom.

The atmosphere was great and Yvonne and her team were attentive to everybodies needs. They made sure that everyone was comfortable and had everything thery needed. Yvonne made sure all the children in the room were happy and never bored, she spoke to them as a child and didn't expect them to be seen and not heard. Her customer service absolutely excelled our expectations. And remember, if you book Afternoon Tea at Dreamland you are supporting the revival of the park. So what are you waiting for? go and book here
