Gel-A-Peel comes in tubes and you add the pointed end that you want to make the pattern that you're looking for. the pack comes with patterns to follow, or you can make your own design like Tilly has with the top of her jewellery box. The Gel can be sticky as you work with it, but it dries and simply peels off your fingers. When we were first sent this, I thought it would be a mess to work with, but it absolutely isn't. There is no mess left after they have played with the set.
Once you have designed your pattern you need to leave it to dry for an hour or two (depending on how warm it is) and then you place it on your jewellery box with glue to secure it in place.
The Gel-A-Peel Pearly Pastel Kit comes with enough Gel to make over 60 accessories and you can make so many different pieces of jewellery. The set is perfect for play dates and for the kids to make gifts for the people in their lives. The set encourages the children to use imagination with designs as well as using art to follow patterns. It doesn't stick to your furniture or carpet, it doesn't spill and it doesn't smell. In fact if all art projects could be made with Gel-A-Peel then I would be one very happy mummy. Once the gel drys it becomes a flexible plastic and its so easy to wear as an accessory. you get some jewellery clasps and earrings parts to make yourself a full set of jewellery.
The set comes with 15 designs on the design sheet and it makes for endless possibilities, it doesn't matter if you are not very good at art because you can make the design unique to you. The Gel-A-Peel Pearly Pastel set is £14.99 from places like Toys R Us, Amazon and Argos, so it is a fabulous pocket money toy or ideal for a birthday gift for a friend.
