Bloom 12 Days Of Christmas Calendar

Advent calendars are big business these days and with the growth in popularity of cosmetic advent calenders, there is such a choice of them. This year Superdrug have had a huge range of cosmetic advent calenders this year and as well as the traditional 24 days calenders, they have also had the 12 days of Christmas calenders. The 12 days of Christmas is a Christian celebration of the 12 days following on from Christmas day, it is the time when the kings visited the baby Jesus in the stable.
I often see customers confused over why an advent calendar only has 12 days on it and I usually explain that it's for the period after Christmas. It kind of drags Christmas out too for a bit longer. There has been a wide range of 12 days of Christmas calendars this year and one of them which is slightly different is the Bloom Calendar. Now, if you're a fan of Jo Malone, then you will love this calendar. It has 12 miniature bottles behind the doors and each bottle of Eau de Toilette is 8ml and the fragrances vary from citrus blossom and bergamot & cucumber for a fresh aroma to Cherry & Almond or Berry & Cassis for a more intense and stronger fragrance.

The calendar looks like a townhouse to give it a chic look and the doors are easy to open, revealing your daily gift. The little bottles of perfume are not easy to get out, but when you do get them out, you will see they are a perfect size for popping in your handbag or an overnight bag for going away.

With a selection of 12 different fragrances too there is an endless amount of different ways to wear the fragrances, you can wear them as a stand-alone fragrance or layer them to create your own fragrance that is unique to you. Layering is easy, you simply apply one fragrance and then apply another on top of it.

The box that the calendar comes in is a bit flimsy and ripped easily so I would love to see this calendar again next year but with a stronger box, but I love the illustrations on the box and the design is fab. I actually work on a fragrance counter and I would recommend these fragrances as either an add-on sale or a cheaper alternative for people on a budget. I love the uniqueness of the calendar and hope that the range is introduced to Superdrug as an everyday range.
