Superdrug Face Mask Duo Sachets

Superdrug are well known for their affordable face mask sachets, they are popular with people of all ages and when they are on 3 for 2, people buy them more and more. The own brand face mask sachets come in a range of 11 different flavours and they all do something different to your skin and for different skin types.

Coming soon to Superdrug are these duo face masks, that give you the choice of two facemasks in one sachet. There is a facemask to clean your face of dirt before the party and give you a refreshed look. Then there is a cleanser to clean the skin of all the party grime and makeup after the event.

We were sent two face masks, the Superfruits exfoliating mask and black seaweed peel off mask duo and Dead seaweed clay mask and Manuka honey peel off mask duo as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad to review.

I used the Superfruits and black seaweed duo, over the new year period. The superfruits face mask is cooling and refreshing, it will take away any puffiness that you have and will prepare your face for a perfect makeup surface. It's an exfoliating mask so it has small grains to rub into your skin as you apply the mask, this helps to remove dead skin and makes your face look radiant. It kind of felt like putting a strawberry yoghurt on my face and was very comfortable to wear but as I have sensitive skin, I didn't leave it on for the full 15/20 minutes as recommended on the packet. I washed it off and went off to get ready, but when I looked in the mirror a little while later, there was still loads of white residue on my face as it had dried. This meant I had to wash it again.

After the party, you clean the face with the black seaweed peel off mask. This looked like tar but was very runny and messy to get out of the packet. Because the facemask duos have smaller packets than the full-size face masks, so there is less of the product left and the black seaweed mask didn't go very far once some spilt out when I opened it. When the facemask dried it was too thin and fragile to peel off, so I ended up having to basically scrub it off. This irritated my skin and It felt uncomfortable afterwards.

The duo packs are a good idea in principle but they didn't suit my skin as it was left irritated after the peel off mask and also after having to keep washing the superfruits mask off, because of the residue that it left when my face dried.

These face masks will be coming to store soon and are ideal for taking on holiday as they are smaller packs, but personally, I would prefer to use the original size packets of face masks. They may suit you but everyone has different skin type and sadly they weren't for me. Superdrug face masks can be found here
