Christmas shopping in Liverpool ONE

Four and a half weeks until Christmas and for some people that means only one more payday! So are you ready? I am never ready until the shops close on Christmas Eve because I know that there will always be someone else to buy for.

I live in a small coastal town and every year, I try to make it to a major city to do my Christmas shopping in one hit. I need a place that I can get everything - I am that kind of shopper. I love Liverpool as a city and I know that I can go there to do some shopping whilst I am catching up with my friends that live just outside the city. With train fares from London for £50 and a two-hour journey, it makes sense to have a great day out in the city of The Beetles. Get some sightseeing in and a bit of shopping in Liverpool ONE.
Liverpool ONE has over 170 stores, bars and restaurants to enjoy your day and with Liverpool Ice Festival, Christmas Markets and Carols by Candlelight there is plenty of entertainment to get you in the festive mood.

When I go shopping for Christmas gifts, I make sure that I have my list of who to buy for otherwise, I forget someone. Kim has asked for a new handbag and she loves Radley, she has been a Radley fan since she was 16. I bought her a luggage set when she turned 18 and it gets used all the time and its still going strong even though she is 26 now. She also wants some clothes from New Look.

My son loves his clothes, but he always wants designer clothes. He works on a golf course in Holland, so he always wants to look sharp and sophisticated, but at the same time likes to wear casual on his days off. We will be heading to Hugo Boss for something for him and also Top Man for his casual clothes.

This year Tilly is after Lego and fun/pretty stationery. She is 8 years old and her list is so simple, So we have the Lego Store or The Entertainer to buy her lego. There is just something special about buying lego from the Lego Store, isn't there? This year she has asked for a Lego advent calendar, which I told her I couldn't afford. But I managed to get one from Lego Store for £19.99. I can't wait to see her face. For stationary, she loves the things from Paperchase and Smiggle. So between those two stores, I am sure I will be able to get her what she wants.

My daughter-in-law is a Michael Kors fan and last year we bought her a Michael Kors bag, she loved it so this year we are buying a new bag again and she wants a dash cam, so I think Argos will have that covered.

I am also a huge department store shopper at Christmas because I get the real feel of Christmas when I shop in them. I always love the John Lewis advert this year with Elton John. This year we are going there for a Quality Street tin, for £7.50 you can fill it with your favourite chocolates. This means none get wasted in your tin because you don't like them. Debenhams is another favourite place to shop at Christmas. I love that they sell a wide range of products at an affordable price.

Dragging kids around the shop is a nightmare, isn't it? They don't want to be there and we don't want them to see what we are buying. But at Liverpool One, there is the Cinema for them to use (if they are older) whilst you shop on your own and also promise them a little sing along with Santa on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There are also Christmas Choirs to listen to as you shop, and they raise money for local charities. Christmas really is fun at Liverpool ONE.
