Can A Positive Mindset Help Mental Health? #IgniteEvent2019

Can Positive Mindset Help Mental Health?

Its a question I asked myself many times over the years when I was under a therapist for my mental health problems following the birth of Matilda, 9 years ago. The therapist would use it on me and try to get me to turn my negative outlook to life into a positive one. The thing was that I fought him the whole way, BUT the things that he said were ingrained into my memory and when the time came for me to realise the understanding of having a positive mindset, then I used the advice that I was given. These days having a positive mindset certainly does help me to get through the tough days that I have and it has helped to ease my own mental health as well as that of my daughter who is 8 years old. A therapist will always use mindset to help you to turn your mental health into something more positive.

We all know that when you are having a tough time with your mental health, your confidence takes a real nose dive! It gets to the point where you don't want to get out of bed and function for the day. But these days I actually have a planner that someone bought me for Christmas and once a week I have a positive quote that I write in the planner and as I use this planner every day, it means that I see that quote every day. It did take me a long time to start understanding that positive mindset can help me get better from the severe PND that I was suffering and even now, I have bipolar and it really does help me.

Positive mindset and motivation has pushed me to start my own business and has given me the confidence to go on with it all the time, pushing myself all the way. I have more positive days than negative days too with using these weekly quotes. If you have a negative mindset, then it drags your mood down and that then has a knock on effect with your mental health.

7 years ago, I met Rebecca Adams, I didn't actually know at the time, how much of an effect this would have on my life as it was. Rebecca is a life coach and she is always so bloody positive about everything. Life hasn't been kind to her and yet she still gets up every single day and she goes on, not only with her life but helping others to achieve their dreams and focus on getting the things that they want. She posts quotes on her Facebook page and they stick in your mind all day long. even if you don't realise it as you scroll through Facebook and quickly glance at something she has written - you remember it!

Rebecca is running Ignite, a mindset and motivational event at Bath Pavillion from 11th to 13th April 2019, She has invited lots of speakers to come along and share their stories with you. She has Aneska Wilde who encourages people to release the negatives and go with your dreams. Another speaker is David Bastin who encourages people to push past their fears to get what they want. There are so many speakers that all have something different to offer.

Tickets for the event are available here and you can either buy the standard ticket for £167 or the Vip Exclusive ticket price of £267, you get the same as the standard ticket as well as a gala dinner featuring an awesome entertainment programme for you. The exclusive VIP ticket also comes with £226 in bonuses. You cannot put a price on a positive mindset and if you need that little push to sort your own life out, then this is the event for you!
