Coral Lace Covered Dress Review From JD Williams

I have recently lost 3 and a half stone in weight and I needed some new clothes. Now, I like dresses as much as the next person and I was overwhelmed to be offered one from JD Williams to review. I was also offered some swimwear from them and you can see the review here.

The dress I chose was a Coral Lace Covered Dress, there is something about lace that makes you feel ladylike and classic. And although coral is a new colour for me, I am determined to move away from the dark coloured clothes that I have always worn to hide my figure. The dress has a coral petticoat and the lace overdress. The bodice is fitted and layered which is really flattering to a larger lady. The lace is a hard wearing lace and I was really surprised by how well made and good quality it was for the price of £25. It is a perfect dress for a party, special occasion or even a night out somewhere. It is made with a mix of 53% Polyamide and 47% Cotton but the petticoat is polyester.

The dress is quite clingy, and if you are having a bloating day, it does show your tummy off, but I wore some hold in knickers underneath it. But because it is clingy, it sits really well on your body and compliments your curves. I felt so ladylike and glamorous when I wore this dress. The dress is tight but the fabric stretches and it is so comfortable. The dress comes to just above your knees and it has a V-shaped neck, which teases people when you show a bit of cleavage. This is what I call a 'mum dress', it is gorgeous, glamorous and yet simple, with a little bit of sexiness thrown in with the neckline. After losing some weight, I was proud to be wearing this dress to show off my weight loss progress as I carry on the journey.

The dress is completely machine washable, which is important to me as a busy mum, so I washed it on a 30-degree wash and then popped it in the tumble drier afterwards. It coped with both machines really well but the lace does take a bit of ironing to get it looking like new again. Team this up with a pair of nude shoes and handbag for a wedding or a pair of sexy black shoes for an evening out with friends. The dress has a zipper on the back, but I found that I didn't really need to unzip it too much to wear because the fabric is stretchy.

The coral lace covered dress is such a good price at £25 and I have paid that much just for a top or skirt before, so I love how this dress is beautiful yet affordable for most people.
