What Is There To Do At Camp Bestival

Less than 6 weeks until Camp Bestival and everyone is wondering what there is to actually do there, So I thought I would give you a few pointers of where to eat, what to see and what music to listen to. If you don't have your tickets, then you can buy there here. Camp Bestival takes place from 25th - 28th July at Lulworth Castle in Dorset and you can find directions here. It is easier to drive but still perfectly accessible by train and taxi, as well as coaches from London. So here is what you should expect from Camp Bestival

There are live acts from Nile Rodgers and Chic, Jess Glynne, Human League, East 17, Sister Sledge, The Cuban Brothers and Lewis Capaldi as well as many other different types of live music for you to enjoy. If you want to go to a Dj, then there is Vic Reeves, Big Fish Little Fish, Junior Jungle, DJ Mr Jules, DR DJ and many more.

The Feast Collective will be there again this year for its 6th time and there is a huge variety of food and something to suit everybody's palette. Vegans and vegetarians have a huge selection to choose from with the delights of Avant Garde Vegan, Jakes Vegan Steaks and Happy Maku. For people who like to eat meat, you can have ASADO Portuguese steak Sandwiches, Vietnamese street food from Hanoi Kitchen and Mexican delights from Elote.  As always there is also the W.I tent where you can get a good cup of tea and a slice of cake.

There is so much for them to do and they will be kept entertained for hours upon hours. there is
BigTopMania where you can learn circus skills, Behind the castle, is the upper kids garden where you will find activities for the little ones and the toddler area. For the older kids, there is the lower garden where you can the insect circus, the vintage fairground, face painting and so many other activities.

The days are filled with shows from Wallace and Gromit shows, Mr Tumble, Mr Maker, Mr Bloom and Sam and Mark. All the favourites from the programmes that they watch on the TV.

Camping is part of the experience of going to Camp Bestival, You can arrive on Thursday night and set up so that Friday is ready for spending the whole day at Camp Bestival. You have a few different options for camping from the everyday camping, Camping Plus, Backstage Camping, Boutique Camping and Hospitality Camping. For the people that like to bring the campervan, you have the Campervan area and you can even bring the caravan or trailer tent if you want.

Josie and Rob Da Bank have created a wellness programme in the Slow Motion area of Camp Bestival where you can take place in free workshops to help you sleep, relax and unwind. The whole weekend is full of people on hand to help you and there will be plenty of yoga to help you unwind and meditate.

Heroes and Superheroes

Of course, there is a theme this year, like there is every year and although you don't have to dress up, the outfits always look awesome. Last year I saw some amazing costumes and it was great to see mums and dads getting involved too. A superhero doesn't even have to be a famous superhero from a film or from the TV, a superhero could even be your mum or your dad. Maybe your kid is a superhero, I know that mine is for sure. She has had a tough time throughout her life and still, she always comes out smiling. She suffers from anxiety and still, she carries on and refuses to let it get her down. She really is my superhero.

Of course, this is only a really tiny part of what happens at Camp Bestival but there is so much more to do over the long weekend. There is no limit and you can just keep going on and on.
