Looking For A Family-friendly Campsite
When you want to choose a family-friendly campsite, it’s always best to look for one with activities that will keep you and your kids occupied whilst you’re on your little holiday. It is best to choose a site that has a pool, clubhouse, play park areas and some entertainment. But they do tend to get the busiest, and they cost a little bit more for the holiday. But it’s worth it to keep the kids entertained. If you decide to choose somewhere a little bit more tranquil, and in the middle of nowhere. You will find that the kids make their own entertainment. They will go off adventuring into the woods, they will build dens, and then they will always use their imagination.
Ask other families – if you want recommendations for good campsites, visit the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s online community where they have a Group specifically for families where you can ask questions, share your own advice and recommendations.
Parent-friendly Facilities On-Site
You will want to find somewhere that has family-friendly showers and toilets. The toilet and shower block should be somewhere close to your tent. If you need a changing area to change a baby somewhere, it’s worth looking for one of those. and somewhere to warm a baby’s bottle up. You might find it easier to book a campsite that has the facility to use electricity in your tent or caravan
Choose Your Destination Wisely
Think about the location that you’re choosing to stay at. Think about Fun and activities to do whilst you are there. Whether it’s walking in the woods or canoeing down a little river, you can find something fun to do. But equally, you don’t want to stay anywhere that’s going to be too noisy. Somewhere that is too close to the city centre, and a campsite that’s going to be full of teenagers or partying families.

Get A Cheap Holiday Price
Look around for a family-friendly campsite or holiday park that has a good family discount. Maybe you pay just for the 1st person, and be 2nd person stays at half price. Or you can find a campsite where kids go free. Some holiday parks have some really good single-parent offers. Whilst others might have the facility for bigger families. And they offer a good discount for larger families.
Get Recommendations
When you’re looking for somewhere to stay, don’t just go somewhere. Don’t book somewhere that you saw on Facebook. Make sure you get recommendations and that they have camping awards or food awards. Look out for something like AA caravan and camping awards. Just make sure that the campsite is safe to stay at.
Find A Pet-Friendly Site
Check if your campsite is pet-friendly. To most families that have a pet. You will want to take your pet on holiday with you. After all, a dog is as part of the family as your child is. If you take a pet, you want them to enjoy a holiday too. Always call in advance if you’re not sure if pets are welcome, you don’t want to drive 100 miles to a campsite, to find that your dog can’t stay there! Also, be respectful of other holidaymakers if your dog barks continuously. It’s not fair to the other holidaymakers who are there to relax and enjoy a week off work.

Go Glamping
If camping isn’t for you, you can always go Glamping. Camping sites have been adding yurts and tipis to their campsites for years now. More and more people are looking for a glamping holiday because of the pandemic. People don’t want to go abroad, but they still want a nice holiday. With Glamping, your yurt or tipi is already set up for you. Sometimes you can get an unfurnished one, where you take your own bedding. But sometimes you can get a fully furnished tent that will have a proper bed, mattress, duvets, pillows, and a fire. It is really down to personal preference, and it’s also a great way to practice staying in a tipi before you buy one.
