Celebrate Your Birthday This Year

2022 is the year of parties. All of those people that had refused to turn 30, 40 or 50 because their birthdays were cancelled due to Covid. Finally had to admit they had hit that milestone age. It was time to party and who cares that you are two years older than that milestone party that you are celebrating? With parties come party preparation and we were approached by Go International to review some party goodies. We really wanted to show you how to celebrate your birthday this year.

Choosing Your Party Tableware

We all love a paper party plate and some matching serviettes. But they have come a long way since we were kids. The scary clowns with party balloons are gone and now it is classy party wear all the way.

We chose 50th birthday pink celebration party wear. It was girly and glitzy, just perfect for the 50th birthday party that we attended. The set comes with plates, serviettes and cups to help your birthday party go with a bang. You can also buy some matching banners to help to decorate the room where your party is being held.

We ordered some paper table cloths to place on the table. Although you can reuse plastic tablecloths paper ones were better for the environment. And as the party was at a campsite in the country, we wanted to think about the environment. We chose pink and ivory colours to match the tableware.

Party Fun Games To Help You Celebrate This Year

One thing that I find always find makes a party fun is to grab yourself some photo props. Everyone wants to have photos of their special occasions, whether it is a party, wedding or BBQ. When you buy photo props, they are sure to make the partygoers laugh.

We chose a selection of party props and placed them on all of the tables. Because of Covid, we didn’t want people to mix the props and share with each other. So placing them on tables meant there was enough for everyone to have for themselves.

We also ordered a plastic blow-up photo frame. We used some birthday bunting to hang the frame so that everyone could stand behind it and have a photo taken. I have used paper or card picture frames before but they are flimsy. This blow up picture frame was an absolute game changer.

If you are planning a party to celebrate your birthday this year. Here are some of our top tips to help your party arrangements go like a breeze.

Find Your Budget And Stick To It

There is a lot to think about when you plan a party. So the price of it can really rack up. Make sure that you have a budget and stick to it. You do need to be strict with this otherwise you will find the costs spiralling out of control.

Choose A Theme That Will Fit The Party

You will want to choose a theme that everyone can join in with. If you choose an 80’s theme, then everyone can dress up in the ’80s. You can play music from the 80s and reminisce about the old days. If you want a dinosaur theme then go for it. This is your party, it is your choice of how you celebrate.

Paper Is Better Than Plastic

Buying paper party supplies are so much better for the environment than plastic. Paper will eventually disintegrate in landfill. Whereas plastic will hang around for a few hundred years. You can even buy recycled party wear if that is what you want.

Buy All Of Your Products Together So They Match

I know that sometimes it works to shop around. But to be honest, shopping around is time-consuming and you need to make sure everything matches. Buying everything in one place means your work is done and you can move on to the next thing to organise.

Get Some Inflatables

Inflatables are funny, and they can add some laughs to a party or night out. Especially if you are taking the mickey out of someone’s age. They can be reused as long as you look after them.
