What Is Monopoly Lifesized London?

Unless you have spent your childhood under a rock, you will all have spent your childhood playing Monopoly. There is always a need to be the winner of the game, perhaps that’s why it has always been so popular. Even as adults we get the game out to see who can win everyone’s cash. But nowadays Monopoly has taken the game to a whole new level with Monopoly Lifesized London.

Now you can work your way around the board trying to avoid jail, build houses and complete challenges. There are three versions of the game to play. How To Get To Monopoly Lifesized London

Monopoly Lifesized is in London and easy to get to with great TFL transport links. The address is 213-215 Tottenham Court Road, W1T 7PS.

You can find Monopoly Lifesized within 10 minutes walking distance from a tube stop and the nearest tube stations are:

• Goodge Street on the Northern Line
• Tottenham Court Road on the Central Line
• Warren Street on the Victoria Line

There is a good bus route, you would just need to get off a bus in Tottenham court road.

How You Play

When you arrive at Monopoly Lifesized London, you are welcomed by Mr Monopoly himself. He will intorduce you to the other teams that you are playing against. He will also give you your playing piece that will guide you through the game. You will have the rules explained to you, before you are taken upstairs to start your Monopoly experience.

When you are at the start of the game, take a few moments to take the surrounding in, familiarise yourself with the games. As soon as the countdown finishes, you roll the dice and start the game.

If you land on a property square, you can buy it. But it isn’t as easy as the board game that you have at home. In order to get the property, you need to go into a special room and complete a challenge. A couple of you will go in and the rest of your team will watch on and support you. If you complete the challenge, then you get the property. If you lose the challenge, then the property goes to auction and one of the rival teams could buy it.

If it is not your go to roll the dice, do not worry. There is no standing around and waiting in this game. You will get a chance card where you get the chance to take a strategy turn. Or maybe you will take a community chest card and spend the time managing your money.

The game is about making as much money as you can in the 80 minutes that you play. If you love escape rooms, then this is the experience for you. Do you think you will win?

What Are The Opening Times How Much Is It To Play

Tickets start at £49 per person and there is a small check box to tick. That will help you find the better value days to go. But if you are going on a Sunday there is a limited time offer to save you some pennies.

Families that book the Classic: Win It All Board will get a 20% discount on their tickets until Sunday 21st. You just need to book on a Sunday from 10 am until 3.20pm. If there are 5 of you going, it will work out to one person getting in for free. A bargain too good to pass up!

If you cannot make the Sunday Fundays, then moving forward there is a family ticket available. You need to book for 6 people or more and get 20% off the tickets. This offer is available from Sunday to Thursday on all of the boards.

Is This A Game For Everyone?

Monopoly Lifesized London is perfect for people over the age of 9. At that age, they have an understanding of the game. It is a physical game as well as a having to think fast, so the older the kids are, the better it will be.

The board is easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair, but some of the challenges in the escape rooms, might not be possible to do. There is a lift in the building to help you get from floor to floor, if you have a disability.

If you are pregnant, you are also welcomed along to join in the fun. But as I have said, it is a fast paced game and yuo are on your feet for a while whilst you play.

You do need to be at the game 15 minutes before the start time, because they do not allow any latecomers to disturb the game. Also make sure you nip to the loo before your game starts, you do not want to miss any game playing whilst looking for a loo.
