Help Is Here For When Your Baby Won’t Feed From A Bottle
Before I start this blog post, I need to say ….. Where were these when my granddaughter was born? My granddaughter was born during Covid and was exclusively breastfed by her mum. So when it came to Amber going back to work, my granddaughter would not switch to a bottle. Even if the bottle was filled with breastmilk, she was getting so upset when everyone tried to feed her. There could be many reasons why your baby won’t feed from a bottle. But the important thing is that you don’t let it upset you.
This is quite common in babies who are exclusively breastfed. It is heartbreaking for the other parent or grandparents because they cannot do anything to calm the child down. My son was feeding my granddaughter with milk on a spoon as it was the only way that she would take it. At the end of the day, she was getting milk but it was a slow process.

Babycup – Little Cups For Little People
Babycups are small plastic cups that will help them to drink milk if the baby won’t feed from a bottle. Even when they will not take from a bottle. Babies can be so stubborn when it comes to getting their own way, so this is going to make life so much easier. The cups are small enough to use on a small baby’s mouth to help them to feed. They are great if you want to take a break from breastfeeding and if the baby has tongue-tie.
These are also better for your baby’s teeth because the cups have no lids or ridges for sugar to collect on. So they are healthier to use than most other baby beakers. And as they have won dozens of awards over the past few years, they really must work!

As the child gets older, they are able to drink alone with the Babycup because their small hands are able to slide around it and grip it in place.
Babycups come in a pack of 4 cups and there are various different colours to choose from. They are small enough for a baby to hold themself from about 6 months old and still a good little size for toddlers of two or three.
Advice For When Your Baby Won’t Feed From A Bottle
Firstly, do not panic. I know it is hard to see your baby crying because they are hungry. But they are refusing to take their milk because it is in a bottle. Your baby will be okay. You are going to get stressed, that’s because your baby is crying and you cannot soothe them.
You simply take a Babycup from the Steriliser and put your milk in there. Then gently put the cup to their mouth and they will naturally sip from it. If your baby is getting milk this way, it is so much better than getting no milk at all. Although the spoon method works, milk often spills from the spoon when you place it on your baby’s lips. With the cup, there is barely any wasted milk whilst the baby sips.
The Babycup also has measurements on the side of the cup, just like a baby bottle. So you can keep an eye on how much your baby is drinking too.
If you are struggling with feeding your baby because they refuse a bottle, please remember that this won’t last forever. Although it might seem difficult at the time, there are ways to help you. These Babycups are a brilliant way to feed your baby as an alternative to a bottle. And if your baby is breastfed, they will get another feed as soon as mummy comes home.

Perfect For Kids With Disabilities
Babycup Sippeco Mini Open Cups are perfect for kids with disabilities. My own granddaughter was born with only one hand. So holding a cup full of water or juice can sometimes be too heavy for her to hold in one hand. As you can see from the photo, they are just the right size for her. Kids can feel more independent when they use cups like these. The cups are lightweight even with a drink in them.
The cups do not have a lid to them and they do not have any grooves or lips on the top of them. So they are easy for babies and young kids with facial problems too. They even help better for babies that cannot use a bottle due to problems with their mouth or sucking on a bottle.

Where Can You Buy Babycup Products From?
You can buy Babycup Mini Open Cups for £9.99 from the Babycup website. You can also buy them from Jojo Maman Bebe and Amazon.
They aim to deliver in 2-4 working days but please take into consideration the postal strikes that are happening at the moment. Now is the time to order if you want them in time for Christmas.
We really do highly recommend these cups for your little ones.
