Why You Need A Futliit Backpack For School

Right now, I can imagine, you are all nearly finished with the summer holidays. And you are thinking about what you need to buy for the kids to go back to school. The summer holiday is a time when kids (and you) are full of worry and anxiety. September brings huge changes to your child’s life. Whether they are starting a new school or just starting the year with a new teacher. It can be a stressful time. But I am here to help you with your shopping. And can tell you why you need a Futliit backpack for your child for school.
So I took it on a recent trip to Interrailing and really put it to the test, and here is why I think you need one for your child.
The Design Of The Futliit Backpack
Firstly the backpack fits kids of all ages from about 7 or 8 years old. Tilly is 13 years old, but I also used it on days out in the countries that we visited. The straps are fully extendable and as a woman that is size 28, I loved the fact that I could use it too without it feeling tight around my arms.
On the top of the bag is an easy-grab handle, which was invaluable when we travelled as it was easy to pick up the bag when we were getting off the trains at random times of the day and night. it was also easy to grab the backpack when we put it in over-seat storage.
There are 2 really deep pockets on the side. Although we used these for putting snacks in for when we travelled, they are designed for drink bottles. As they are deep pockets, the bottle is less likely to fall out. We have lost so many water bottles over the years because they have fallen out of the side pockets of other bags.
The backpack is also waterproof. But as we haven’t had any rain in Europe this summer, we couldn’t put it to the test.
The Compartments Of The Bag
The zip for the main compartment is at the front of the compartment and not in the middle of the backpack. This helps when you pack the Futliit backpack with books and other things because you can layer them and close the bag. Things don’t fall out as you pack.
There is a zipped compartment in the front of the bag. This compartment has two pockets where they could put their timetable in the pockets and maybe their dinner money in the zipped pocket. There is also a keyholder in the front compartment. If you have a teenager, you will know how much they lose their key! When we went away, we attached a whistle to the key holder, in case she got into trouble or got lost. We also attached a small purse that we filled with hair bands and plasters.
When you open the front compartment, it doesn’t fully open. the sides are sewn together at the bottom to prevent everything from falling out. You know how much rubbish they put in their school bag!
The Safety features
Your child staying safe on the way to school and back again is your number one priority. Especially when they go to secondary school. You cannot keep walking them to school and back. They want to be with their friends. So this is the main reason I love the Futliit backpack for school.
The backpack has 2 LED light strips on the bag. These lights have 3 settings on them, two settings make the lights flash, and one is a steady light. As the winter nights start to draw in, this will make the difference between cars seeing your child as they walk home in the evening.
To switch the lights on and off, there is a button attached to the bottom of the straps on the back. So your child can reach the buttons as they are wearing the bag. On our European trip, there were a lot of night trains involved. So we used the lights to make sure I had eyes on her the whole time as other backpackers pushed their way to get on the trains.
The other safety feature is the reflective triangles on the front of the backpack. Making your child more visible to people in cars and other vehicles.
What We Thought Of Futliit Backpack
Although kids want fashionable bags when they become a teenager, in my experience, they soon go back to practical! The colour of the backpack is grey, a neutral colour for both boys and girls. We really put the bag through some testing whilst we were away visiting different countries in Europe. And the backpack did not let us down. The bag was filled to the brim most of the time and the zips did not rip or even come close to failing. The straps held the weight of all of her belongings, so I am confident that it will hold her school books in September.
The back is padded, so Tilly did not have anything from the bag irritating her as she walked. The straps are also reinforced to help with all of the books in the bag. And there is a laptop section if she needs to take it to school.
I would use this as a bag for going away at weekends or if I find myself working away for a day or night. It is perfect for commuters working in the city and travelling home at night. The colour is neutral as I said earlier. So it is perfect for any age. We are huge fans of this bag. I even used it with the lights on so I could keep an eye on her. Especially when we were getting on trains in the dark.
TOP TIP – This back fits the size requirements for budget airlines Wizz Air and Easy Jet to go under the seat. It will count as your personal item and would work for a weekend break, as you can fit so much in the bag. It is too big for Ryan Air to go under the seat. But as it is a flexible bag, you probably could wiggle it to fit in the measurement box if you don’t fill it too much.
