Is The Supercell Tornado Movie Worth Watching?

It takes a lot to grab my attention in a movie, because of my Bipolar. But as I sat to watch the new movie with Alec Baldwin and Anne Heche, I had high hopes for an attention-grabbing movie. Personally, I love the thrill and excitement of tornadoes and extreme weather. So I was eager to review this movie before it comes to digital download on June 12th. So what did we think of the Supercell tornado movie?
The Storyline Of The Movie
Supercell starts with the death of Bill Brody, a legendary storm chaser as he chases a tornado. Bill’s wife (Anne Heche) and his son (Daniel Diemer) move away to a safer place to live. Hurt and never able to let go of his father’s research, troubled teen William runs away to follow in his father’s footsteps. He is looking for answers as to who he is and to help finish his father’s research.
When he arrives at his old home town, he finds his family name plastered all over a storm-chasing tour company that is using his father’s legacy to line their pockets. The man in charge of the company is Zane Rogers (Alec Baldwin). He is reckless and always puts his clients’ lives in danger to get the ultimate thrill.
As the movie goes on, his father’s old partner (Roy) tries to keep William out of danger. But with Zane’s reckless decisions, Roy is fighting a losing battle. All Zane is worried about is getting money from unsuspecting adventurers and using the Brody name to draw them into the middle of the storm.
It is a race against time for Williams’s mother and girlfriend to get to William before history repeats itself. And William is killed in a tornado just like his father.
What We Thought Of Supercell Tornado Movie
The film was quite dark to start with, but then it adds to the scene of the movie. It does seem like a lot happens in the first few minutes. Then the film cuts to scenes 10 years later. There are so many traits in the teenager that I admire. He is adventurous, he has spirit and he has big ambitions. Something I love to see in my own teenager. Although I wouldn’t want her to go off storm chasing without me!
The Supercell tornado movie is a budget movie, I have seen it compared to the big-budget movie, Twister. But it is nothing like it and has a completely different storyline. I enjoyed the movie, and it did grab my attention. I was shouting at the laptop to tell them not to run into the storms.
I did try to get my own teenager to watch it but she couldn’t get into it. Whereas Kim who is 31 years old enjoyed it too.
