And just like that, winter is here! But with Winter comes Christmas movies like Polar Express and drinking cosy hot chocolate. Today we have combined both of them and we bring you some Polar Express bell hot chocolate bombs.

Makes: 3 large bombs

What You Need To Buy For The Hot Chocolate Bombs

1 bag salted caramel chocolate melts
6 tablespoons hot chocolate mix
15 marshmallows
1 silicone dome mould in size medium/large 2.5 inch
1 packet of strawberry laces

How To Make It

Melt salted chocolate melts in the microwave. Make sure you follow the instructions on the packet because different brands vary.

Add salted the melted caramel chocolate to the dome mould and spread with the back of a spoon. Do this in one thin layer to coat then place in freezer for 10 minutes. Take it back out and coat only where you can see through the mould. If you cannot see through the mould you do not need to add more. You want the bomb to stay together but not be too thick.

If you add more to the see-through spots then place them back in the freezer for another 10 minutes. Remove and slowly pop out each side of the bombs. Place on a plate.

On the top of one of the domes use a lighter to heat and press through a skewer to make two holes. I use a longer lighter so that it’s easier to light and hold the skewer to push through.

Feed a strawberry lace through the holes and tie them.

Heat a frying pan to low heat. Place one side of the bomb rim down onto the frying pan. This will lightly melt and even out the edges. Quickly add about 2 tablespoons cocoa mix to the bomb and marshmallows. Melt the other side of the bombs rim and then place them evenly with the other side.

This will seal them together evenly. Do not add hot chocolate to the outside as it will just melt the bomb.

Serve in a cup and pour over hot milk to dissolve the bomb and stir well.
