This summer I am going Interrailing with my 13-year-old daughter. If you don’t know what interrailing is, it is where you buy a train ticket that covers all of Europe and you hop on and off when you like. I did it a few years ago with a friend and my daughter. Chase II Deck Shoes
Firstly you need some shoes with decent grips on them, this was my huge mistake last time! So shoes with a good sole and grip were my first priority. That is why I thought the deck shoes would work well for my trip. Comfort was another priority, so these shoes come with a leather-covered footbed with OrthoLite foam to make them comfortable to wear. The Chase II Desk Shoes have Cushion+ technology that gives more force to your stride as you walk. In return, it lessens leg fatigue, so your legs ache less as the day goes on.
The shoes are tie-up shoes but they also have a zip on the side. Although I love the decorative aspect it gives to the shoes, it also secures your foot in place.
There are 10 different colours to choose from and you can get matt or shimmery shoes in the range. I chose the camel shade as they can be worn with most clothes whilst I am away.
The Chase II Deck Shoes are £99 to buy either in-store or online. Because I had my feet measured in-store using the latest foot-measuring technology, my shoes fit perfectly. My feet do not slip in the shoes and they are not too tight. The Hotter Footprint is a scanner that tells you the size, fit and arch type of your feet. They are so accurate and it makes it easier to choose proper fitting shoes.
Quake II Summer Mary Jane Shoes
These shoes are my summer shoes. I wanted something smart but summery for my holiday this year. I needed some shoes that have a good grip too. As there will be lots of travelling involved in our trip I needed some shoes that were easy to slip on and off. But they also had to be cool enough for the summer too. The Quake II Summer Mary Jane shoes have punched-hole detailing to help your feet to breathe as you wear them. The Quake II Summer Mary Jane shoes come with leather-covered ortholite foam insoles. These are cushioned to make them comfortable to wear every day. The FreeSole helps to minimise fatigue, so your legs and feet won’t get tired as the day goes on. These are perfect for long day trips or even wearing to work.
There is a fastening strap that has velcro, making them easy to put on and take them off. It helps to give them a more bespoke fit too. The shoes are available in 6 different colours and I chose the sage colour. The upper shoe is made from Nubuck and the shoes are leather inside. The shoes have removable insoles in case you need to take them out.
You can buy the Quake II Summer Mary Jane shoes online or in-store for £89. If you go in-store you can have your feet measured again with the Hotter Footprint so the shoes fit you properly.
These shoes are cute and you can wear them any time. Whether it is a day trip out or an evening somewhere nice on a warm summer evening, you will be comfortable. My only negative with these shoes was that the nubuck material gets dirty very fast and you need to clean them a lot. But I bought the Hotter shoe cleaner and wiped that over the shoes.
