How To Make Chinese Ginger Beef

Chinese Ginger Beef With Baby Bok Choy & Rice
Do you love Chinese food as much as we do in our home? There is nothing better than a Chinese Takeaway on a weekend and a good movie night. Or is there? Have you tried to make Chinese food yourself, because making a fakeaway is often more fun than ordering in. We wanted to share with you, our recipe for Chinese Ginger Beef. Although there is a lot in the recipe, you can adapt it to how you want it. And if you are trying to lose weight, you can substitute ingredients for something healthier.
Starting with the ingredients, here we go.
Ingredients:

4 servings
- Steak, cut into very thin strips (1 lb)
- Tablespoon fresh ginger, minced (1)
- Teaspoon of soy sauce (1 and 1/2 )
- Teaspoon of rice wine vinegar (1) for step 1
- Tablespoon of rice wine vinegar (1) for step 3
- Teaspoon of cornflower(1)
- Teaspoon toasted sesame oil (1)
- Tablespoon hoisin sauce (2)
- Tablespoon vegetable oil (2)
- Baby bok choy (or your favourite vegetable), cut into 2-inch pieces (1)
- Tablespoon chicken broth (3)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 cups of rice, cooked
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Mix the beef strips, ginger, soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and cornflower into a bowl and stir until they are well mixed together.

Step 2
Stir in sesame oil until beef is evenly covered
Step 3
In a separate small bowl whisk together hoisin sauce and 1 tablespoon vinegar, – set aside

Step 4
Heat vegetable oil over high heat
Step 5
Add beef strips and stir fry until browned, transfer to separate plate and set aside

Step 6
Add broth and bok choy to the skillet, cook for 2 minutes

Step 7
Return beef to skillet and add sauce set aside earlier

Step 8
Cook for 1-2 minutes and serve over or with rice and enjoy!
