Remember when we were teenagers and we would put our pop posters on the wall? I am thankful that these days we have different and more classy posters to put on the walls. And they are often seen in frames, rather than stuck with tape. Wall art really is the way to go, because it is so personal to the person that you are gifting it to. Also, you can find something for yourself that is a reminder of times past. I was gifted Some wall art from Desenio, in exchange for our honest opinion.

Desenio is a Scandinavian company that was founded in 2010. Since then it has grown to sell wall art in 33countries. The art is simple, stylish and affordable – just as you would expect from a Scandinavian country. As well as the art, you can buy the frames, hangers, picture ledges and clips. As well as the pictures that they sell, there is also personalised wall art that you can order as a special gift for someone. The art is affordable so it means that everyone can have Desenio wall art in their own home.

The art is printed on age-resistant, matt premium paper. So as soon as you receive it, you can feel the quality of the poster. Desenio are also a sustainable company, and for every tree that they use, they plant another two in its place. Something we should see more of in 2022, lets hope other companies follow this.

Personalised art makes a great and special gift for someone close to you. It costs a little bit more than the other art, but it is worth it all. Sometimes you cannot find words for someone, but a little bit of personalised art will do just the job.

I went for the Best Friends wall art, where you can add your friends name as well as your own and the year that you have been friends since. It is simple to edit the wall art on the Desenio website and then buy it. The personalised wall art arrived within a couple of days of ordering it. The Best Friends art is £29.95 for a 30×40 cm poster.

I also chose wall art for my granddaughter’s nursery. I chose The Date Personal Poster with her date of birth and I used the location of her first home. Although this is perfect as a gift for someone getting married, it also makes a great gift for a baby. The Date Personal Poster is £29.99 for 30×40 cm. The black frame is also from Desenio for £14.95, the best thing about it is that there is no glass in the frame. Instead, it has acrylic glass so if it falls, it will not shatter.

Grab A Banksie

There is no doubt about it, everyone admires Banksy’s artwork and you can have your own one for your home. There are two posters in the Banksy prints collection. The Thankful poster is 50cm by 70cm and is printed on premium matte paper. It is £23.95 for the Thankful poster. The Girl With Love Balloon poster is 30cm by 40cm in size. It costs £12.95.

I ordered The Girl With Love Balloon and it fits in an A3 frame. If you want a perfectly fitting frame, you can order the frame with the poster, and you know you will get the correct size that you need. I actually love having my own Banksy!

Posters Of Destinations

Have you ever visited somewhere that leaves a special place in your heart? One of those places for us is Amsterdam. My son and daughter-in-law live in Holland, so we visit Amsterdam quite a bit. Over Christmas, I took my older daughter there for the first time. She fell in love with the city, so the Amsterdam poster seemed the right choice for her. You can buy maps of the world, or just of cities. Or you can city name as we did. It shows a shot of the city, and then the name of the city. Something that will always make you smile when you look at it.

Making Planner Easier With Weekly Family Planner

If you are as disorganised as us, then this family planner is for you! I don’t know about you lot, but since the lockdowns, it has been so hard to plan things and remember them. So I ordered this planner in a frame to try and add some organisation to my life. So far it is working, so that’s a good thing. If you order the frame with it, it comes with plexiglass that you are able to write on with a whiteboard marker or order the chalk pen from Desenio. Then if your plans change or your week finishes, you wipe it off with a damp cloth and start again.

There is enough space to keep the planner for 4 people in your family, as there were only 3 of us, we used the first column to write the dates in. But it is your planner, so you design it how you want it. The planner comes in two sizes and 30 x 40 is £15.95.

Swearing Posters

How many times a day do we say ‘Fuck It’? I will put my hand up to say a few times. So when I saw this poster, I know it was just for me! The F**k It poster is £8.95

Because this poster is showing a typewriter typing the words, it makes me laugh because sometimes this is what I want to write, when I am working on my laptop. I never do, of course. But the poster makes me smile as if it is my alter ego typing.

What Did We Think?

We absolutely loved them. I ended up giving some as gifts to close friends and family, they were well received. I felt proud to give them out as each poster was chosen specifically for that person. And you will feel the same too as you browse through the website. Something will jump out at you and you will know that you have bought the right thing.

The posters are excellent value for money and even though they come from Sweden, they only took about 7 working days to arrive. Which I was very impressed with.
