I was the parent that always said Tilly would never have a mini fridge in her room. But as she got older and she found comfort in her room, my views changed. Tilly never had her own room until she was 14 years old. But now she has her own room, she loves her own little space. It is somewhere she can go to be in her own company. And we all love our own company! She asked me for a mini fridge to make her room more user friendly. So I got her a So Chill Mini Fridge that matched the colour of her room.

Setting Up The So Chill Mini Fridge

The So Chill Mini Fridge comes with a power lead that is USB, so it is so easy to plug in. There is also an on/off switch. The fridge starts to get cold as soon as it is plugged in. There is a shelf inside the fridge that is removable for bigger bottles and snacks. Your teenager can decorate their So Chill Fridge with the stickers that are included in the box. Your fridge is now good to go. The fridge is portable so it can go almost anywhere in their bedroom.

What You Can Keep In Your Teenagers Fridge

The fridge is fantastic, you can keep drinks and snacks in there, But it is not ideal for proper food that needs to be chilled. I would keep that in your kitchen fridge, for food safety reasons. But the fridge holds 6 cans of fizzy drinks really well. You can put chocolate or sweets in there to keep them chilled. I also put fruit rolls in there for Tilly to snack on. Because it means she will reach for something healthy in her fridge instead of just junk food.

You can also keep cosmetics in the fridge if your teenager is cosmetic mad. Pop cloth face masks in there to keep them cool. Eye creams and rollerballs will help you undereye puffiness because it will cool the products down. Lipsticks can melt in the summer if it gets too hot, so keeping them cool in a fridge, will help them to last longer. Micellar water or a cleanser can be kept in the fridge for cleaning her face.

You Can Take It Anywhere Because Its Portable

The So Chill Mini Fridge is portable! So you can take it with you to the beach, to the park or even on days out somewhere. As it has a USB lead, you can plug it in to the car if you need to. Or even use a power bank to charge it up. This is perfect for taking to a festival or just camping in general. You could even borrow it to sit in the garden in the summer and fill it with drinks of your choice!

Tilly loves this mini fridge, the colour is perfect and it is a good little size for her bedroom. The handle on the front of the fridge is perfect to make it look like a real fridge. It has a good space inside and it even has a space in the door like a real fridge. The price point is good, it costs £39.99 from Smyths toy shop. The size in Litres is 40L and the size is 24.5 cms tall. I completely understand that it is not suitable for chilled food and dairy drinks. As someone who lives by the beach, this is handy because we can keep it cold, unplug it and take it over the road to the beach. It will save us having to keep going home for cold drinks. Tilly recommends this to other teenagers and pre teens to keep in their room.
