Lemons are packed with vitamin C, which boosts your immune system and helps fight colds. They aid digestion, support healthy skin, and act as powerful antioxidants. Lemons can also help balance your body’s pH, freshen breath, and promote hydration.
Total Prep Time: Approximately 15-20 minutes from start to finish.
Ingredients
- 4 to 6 lemons (you can normally get a bag of lemons for less than £1 in the supermarket)
- 4 different cups of cold water
- 200g sugar
- Ice for the finished drink
- Lemon slices and mint for garnish (optional)

How To Make Classic Homemade Lemonade
Squeeze the juice from the lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice, removing any seeds as you go.

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water and heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Let it cool. This is your simple syrup, and it will sweeten the lemon juice for you.
In a pitcher or jug, mix the lemon juice, simple syrup, and the last 3 cups of cold water. Stir well and adjust the sweetness to taste. Pour over ice, garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint if desired, and enjoy!

This refreshing classic homemade lemonade is perfect for any occasion, especially during warm weather! Enjoy it with the whole family in the summer sun. For more summer drinks click here
