Do you love games nights? Do you get together with friends and family, have a few drinks and play games? When there is a group of you together, noisy games are the best. Especially if they are noisy and riotous like Bangarang. We wanted to use our blog to explain how to play Bangarang and have a laugh along the way.

How To Play Bangarang

This game is played better with more people. But you can play it with as little as 4 players. The noisiest person is chosen as the first guesser. The rest of the team are the clue givers. Then one of the other players chooses a word card.

There are two sides to the cards, there is a pink side and a blue side. It doesn’t matter which side you choose, the words are as easy as each other on both sides of the card. Scan the QR code to start the timer on your phone.

You cannot say the word to the guesser. Instead each team member chooses a clue card that tells them how they are going to describe the word. The ways that the word can be described are by drawing a clue, forming the letter with your hand. Making a sound, mime it with your hand or saying a similar word.

Guessing The Word

If the word is ”dragon”, you would draw a dragon, or mime a dragon with your hand. You would shout a similar word like ”fire” or ”Game Of Thrones” or something similar. You would make the shape ”D” with your hand and make the sound of a dragon. Everyone shares their clue at the same time, this is where it gets chaotic. The guesser has to look at all of the clues at the same time to work out the answer, as well as listen to whats going on. The guesser needs to the guess the word before the timer runs out.

If the guesser, guesses right then you get a point. and the guesser passes the guesser card on to the next player in their team. Make sure you write the point down on a piece of paper to keep count. It then goes to the other team to guess the next word on the list. You don’t need to work through the words in order, but it is easier to keep track of the words if you do. When all the words are guessed, you move on to another card and repeat the process.

What We Liked About Bangarang

Firstly the box is bright and colourful, it automatically makes you want to pick up the game. Then upon opening it, you find everything you need in the box. The game is easy to play for people over the age of 8. If you are playing with children, they need to be able to read and understand the word. The players need to be able to be able to convert what they see on the cards to be able to describe the word.

I would say this is more of a big family gathering game, like Christmas or birthdays. I would also say this is a perfect adult game for a party night where you have a few drinks. The more you drink, the louder and more chaotic the game is going to get.

Sometimes your mind goes blank and you cannot think of a way to describe the word, but this creates panic and more confusion whilst playing the game. And if you cannot think of a way to describe the word, you end up saying anything and this causes even more chaos because it might look like you are saying something different to the other team mates. This throws doubt into the equation.
